CSK-vs-SRH
52 / 100

In the latest encounter of IPL 2024, Sunrisers Hyderabad bounced back to their winning form with a commanding six-wicket triumph over Chennai Super Kings. The match unfolded on Friday, witnessing a stellar performance from various Sunrisers’ players.

Abhishek Sharma ignited the innings with a blistering 37 runs from only 12 deliveries, providing early momentum. Aiden Markram’s composed half-century, scoring 50 runs from 36 balls, along with Travis Head’s valuable contribution of 31 runs from 24 balls, further bolstered Sunrisers’ pursuit of victory.

Opting to field first after winning the toss, SRH, led by captain Pat Cummins, effectively contained CSK’s run-scoring in the initial eight overs. Bhuvneshwar Kumar struck early by dismissing Rachin Ravindra for 12 runs off nine balls. CSK’s skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad fell prey to Shahbaz Ahmed in the eighth over, departing after scoring 26 runs from 21 deliveries. The entry of Shivam Dube saw a surge in CSK’s scoring rate, as he aggressively amassed 45 runs from just 24 balls, guiding CSK to a promising position at 119/2 by the 14th over.

However, Dube’s dismissal by Pat Cummins halted CSK’s momentum, as SRH tightened their grip by restricting runs. The Sunrisers conceded a mere 38 runs in the final five overs, limiting CSK to a total of 165/5. This disciplined bowling effort from SRH laid the foundation for their successful chase and eventual victory over CSK.
