Rajasthan Royals (RR) with 161 runs for the loss of 3 wickets, managed to beat the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) who scored 157 runs and lost 8 wickets.

The win of the Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 7 wickets was due to the bowlers, Obed McCoy and Prasidh Krishna. They picked up 3 wickets each, restricting the RCB team to 157 runs for the loss of 8 wickets.

The spectators started to leave the stadium before the game finished as the result of the RR team was very obvious.

There were 11balls left when Jos Buttler hit the winning 6 off Harshal Patel.

A Streaky Start

This pitch seemed to be an offer for the seamers with an extra movement and bounce not only on the surface but also in air.

Kohli managed to flick Trent Boult for a 6 but fell in the next to Prasidh. After 4 over’s, the RCB was 25 runs for 1. After which, Faf du Plessis managed 2 fours. From the other end, Patidar hit Prasidh for ‘back-to-back’ fours.

Du Plessis was on 22 off 21 balls at one time, and Patidar was on 20 off 19 balls. After which, he managed a 6 off Yuzvendra Chahal.

Faf du Plessis was relieved of his struggle by McCoy as he was sent back for 25 runs off 27 balls. Glenn Maxwell managed to hit 2 sixes but was dismissed in the 14th over.

Patidar continued his attack and managed his 50 off 40 balls by hitting a 6 off Chahal .

The Death

After 16 over’s, the RCB team was 132 runs for the loss of 4 wickets. Prasidh, McCoy and Chahal managed to concede a mere 25 runs in the last 4 overs. The RCB team felt the pinch in the 19th over. Prasidh dismissed Karthik in the 1st ball, after which he managed to get Wanindu Hasaranga out and the damage was done.

Jaiswal and Buttler on fire

Jaiswal and Buttler gave the RR team a flying start. Jaiswal hit Mohammed Siraj for 2 sixes and a four in the very 1st over. In the next over, Buttler hit 2 fours and one six. After which, he took apart Shahbaz Ahmed with 2 sixes and 1 four. In the last over of the power play, Jaiswal was dismissed by Hazlewood. Buttler seemed to be on fire and managed his 50 in only 23 balls. Samson hit Shahbaz over long-on, and Buttler hit another 2 fours in the over.

In the halfway the RR team was 103 runs for the loss of 1 wicket. They needed only 55 runs from 10 over’s.

Samson was ‘stumped-off’ by Hasaranga for 23 runs off 21 balls. From the 12th over to the 15, there were only 14 runs made. The RR team now needed 32 runs from 5 over’s. Buttler managed to hit 2 sixes in the over of Hasaranga. He made his century in 59 balls and also wrapped up the tournament with a 6th six.
