A three-match T20I series between Australia and India will begin on September 20. The first game is scheduled for Mohali, with the remaining two games taking place in Nagpur (September 23) and Hyderabad (September 25). Both teams will use the series to find a stable starting XI in advance of the T20 World Cup, which is scheduled to take place in Australia in October and November of this year, in addition to trying to win their matches against one another.

Regarding India, their batting lineup appears strong. Their bowling is also more or less under control in the meantime. The biggest choice for the selectors will undoubtedly be between wicketkeepers Rishabh Pant and Dinesh Karthik. Karthik has received fair attention from the team management lately, but the player’s form is still in question due to the lack of batting opportunities.

Whatever the case may be, Karthik has undeniably emerged as Pant’s main rival, and if either of the two struggles going forward, the other is likely to take their place.

Here is a possible starting lineup for India’s first T20I match against Australia:

KL Rahul: Since rejoining the Indian team after his injury, the right-handed batter has struggled to establish a rhythm. He needs to use the series against Australia to get back to his best because his stroke play lacks freedom.

The captain, Rohit Sharma, has been playing well at the plate. Although Rohit hasn’t recently produced many significant scores with the bat, he has demonstrated a very positive batting stance, which is very important in the T20 format.

Virat Kohli: The former captain of India is at last finding his rhythm. In the three-match series against Australia, Kohli should maintain his strong play after a sensational individual Asia Cup campaign.

The right-handed batter needs to give himself more time at the crease, according to Suryakumar Yadav. Given the upcoming T20 World Cup, his form and confidence have never been in doubt, but his consistency will keep things under control for the team.

Dinesh Karthik: In the recently finished Asia Cup, the wicketkeeper-batter saw very little action. The player’s management has demonstrated its confidence in him, but it should also concentrate on giving him more opportunities to bat before the T20 World Cup in 2022. This argument might support Karthik’s inclusion in the starting XI.

Hardik Pandya: The all-around player struggled in his final two Asia Cup games against Sri Lanka and Pakistan. During the upcoming series against Australia, Hardik must be striving for a successful comeback.

Ravichandran Ashwin: The right-arm off-spinner has recently played well for India, but he undoubtedly hopes to also make an impact with the bat.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar: During the 2022 Asia Cup’s final overs against Pakistan and Sri Lanka, the right-arm pacer was completely destroyed. He would view the T20 International series against Australia as a chance to hone his skills before the T20 World Cup.

Harshal Patel: After recovering from an injury, the right-arm pacer rejoins the national team lineup. Harshal has a great chance to put his bowling prowess to the test against a top team like Australia.

Jasprit Bumrah: After overcoming an injury, India’s bowling spearhead for pace has returned to the squad. Bumrah is one of India’s most valuable players, and his performance in the upcoming games will be greatly influenced by his form.

Yuzvendra Chahal: The leg-spinner struggled to pick up any wickets in his first two 2022 Asia Cup games, but he finally found his groove against Sri Lanka with stats of 3/34.
