Amari Cooper, a wide receiver for the Cleveland Browns, hurt his hip during training this week. Cooper missed practice on Friday as a result and the team’s official injury report has him listed as questionable.

The wideout was a game-time decision for the match against the Cincinnati Bengals. Good news for fantasy owners as Cooper is set to play. The Browns have listed their inactives for the game and Cooper is not among them.

Amari Cooper’s stats and fantasy prediction

The offensive line for the Cleveland Browns struggled against the Houston Texans in Week 13. Amari Cooper, one of their primary weapons, was also not very effective.

Cooper has performed admirably throughout his debut season with the Browns. The Dallas Cowboys moved to reduce their salary cap during the offseason by trading the former first-round pick to Cleveland.

In Deshaun Watson’s first outing of the year, Amari Cooper led the team last week with four catches for 40 yards. Cooper has so far led the team in receiving yards (832), touchdowns (7), and receptions (61) through the first 13 games of the campaign. When Deshaun Watson was suspended, Jacoby Brissett, the backup quarterback, took over the starting role and accounted for most of Cooper’s output.

Currently, back on the playing field, Watson started his season in Week 13 and completed 12 of the 22 passes he attempted. He also had one interception and only 131 yards of passing. Cooper hopes that after a rough debut, Watson will improve. If the Browns are to win a highly contested divisional game, he will certainly have to.

The likelihood is that Cooper will see a better week in fantasy. The Browns will have to score a lot of points to keep up with the Bengals and this could turn into a shootout. With Watson likely to have a better day, Cooper should see an uptick in production.
