Tom Brady endured a horror Sunday as his Tampa Bay Buccaneers were blown off the field by the San Francisco 49ers in a 35-7 drubbing. This was one of Brady’s worst performances of the year. To make matters worse, the 45-year-old was intercepted twice, once by 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw.

If Brady was in an irate mood post-game, it would have gone up a level after Greenlaw asked for the ball he intercepted to be signed by the quarterback. Brady revealed on SiriusXM via David Lombardi that he wasn’t a fan of Greenlaw asking for the ball to be signed.

“It was s**t for me, to be honest… Complete s**t. But I try to be a gentleman. No, actually, I mean, look, it was a great play he made. I’m happy he’s got the ball. I wish I didn’t throw it, but I’m trying to be a good sport.”

Brady on Greenlaw’s autograph request (SiriusXM): “It was shit for me, to be honest… Complete shit. But I try to be a gentleman. No, actually, I mean, look, it was a great play he made. I’m happy he’s got the ball. I wish I didn’t throw it but I’m trying to be a good sport.”

One can understand the quarterback’s frustration. Coming off an embarrassing loss and then having an opposing player want one of your mistakes highlighted for eternity isn’t fun. But at least the 45-year-old did it, even if he didn’t like it.

Being out-dueled by Brock Purdy (Mr. Irrelevant, last pick in the draft), would surely sting, but Tampa Bay and its legendary quarterback can’t sulk for too long.

With a 6-7 record and a tough remaining schedule that sees Tampa Bay play the Cincinnati Bengals, Arizona Cardinals, Carolina Panthers, and the Atlanta Falcons, Tom Brady and co. must win a lot.

At the time of writing, the Buccaneers currently hold the fourth seed in the NFC. If the playoffs started today, they would welcome Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys to Raymond James Stadium.

That matchup would not be ideal for the Buccaneers as they can’t run the ball, thus allowing the likes of Micah Parsons, DeMarcus Lawrence, and Dorance Armstrong to get after their quarterback. But they will be at home, which is a small consolation.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion will be hoping to not throw many interceptions in the run-in to the postseason. If he does, he will not be happy and if another player asks for an intercepted ball to be signed, his anger will only grow.
