Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley mock incident between Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless

Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley decided to have some fun on Tuesday’s episode of “Inside the NBA.” O’Neal and Barkley were in the middle of their usual bickering when they started mocking the incident between Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless.

During the segment, Barkley dared O’Neal to smack him in the head. Things didn’t turn ugly; instead the two made fun of Sharpe and Bayless’ on-air clash on “Undisputed.”

“Disrespect me again, Skip Bayless,” O’Neal said.

“Insult me again,” Barkley responded by putting his glasses on and off the way Sharpe did during their show.

“Put your glasses back on,” O’Neal yelled before finishing the segment in laughter.

Things got testy between Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless on Monday’s episode of “Undisputed.” The two were discussing Tom Brady’s struggles this season when Bayless got personal with Sharpe.

“Brady’s still playing at a high level at 45 when you had to stop at 35, that’s the point,” Bayless said.

Sharpe responded:

“That’s what you do. Every time I call something into question, I’m jealous. Skip, I did what I did. You make it seem like I was a bum. I’m in the effing Hall of Fame. I’ve got three Super Bowls.”

“See what you do, you take personal shots,” Sharpe added. “You’re willing to take a personal shot at me to say this man is better than me because I say he’s playing bad this year? … You would disrespect me to support him.”

The Hall of Fame tight end was clearly annoyed at his co-analyst, but cooler heads prevailed eventually.

Bayless also caught wind of the mockery and responded to Charles Barkley on Twitter.

Does Charles Barkley hate Skip Bayless?

Charles Barkley is not the biggest Skip Bayless fan in the world. In fact, Barkley has been on record saying he hates Bayless and even wants to beat him up. Things escalated earlier this year when Barkley called out Bayless in an appearance on “The Draymond Green Show.”

“Just because a couple of jacka**es on television like Skip Bayless, who I hate more in life itself, starts talking about who won and who didn’t won, a guy who never played,” Barkley said. “And now they’re making a great living doing that. But what bothers me about that is basketball is not an individual sport.”

At one point in an appearance on “The Dan Patrick Show,” Barkley even jokingly threatened to kill Bayless. The Fox Sports analyst had no other choice but to respond to the former NBA MVP, saying his wife has been traumatized by his words.

“I don’t care about any of the other criticism,” Bayless said. “He can rip, he can slash, he can say whatever he wants. Just for Ernestine’s (Skip’s wife) sake could he please stop using the k-word, please no more kill. He has hurt my wife deeply. She has lost much sleep over this.”
