LaVar Ball is back and more outrageous than ever. Ball thinks his sons would be more successful in the NBA if they’re all playing together. He even believes that he’s the perfect coach for his three boys — Lonzo, LiAngelo and LaMelo.

In an interview with Pierce Simpson of Complex Magazine, LaVar was asked what the perfect situation is for LaMelo to reach his potential. The proud father didn’t hesitate to proclaim that all his sons would play together in the NBA at some point in the future.

“What you mean, what is the perfect situation?” LaVar said. “Ain’t no situation. It’s going to happen. All three of them are going to play on the same team and when it happens, folks are going to go crazy.”

Pierce Simpson followed up by asking LaVar Ball who would be the perfect coach if his sons became teammates. Ball claimed that he could make any team unstoppable with his three boys in it.

“Sh*t, me,” Ball said. “What you mean? I’ll turn my boys loose. My boys, together, could average 40 points a quarter with ease. You’d have to score 160 points to beat them. I’d be the first coach to start pressing.”

He added:

“My boys had to get to the NBA to become losers, and they’re getting very good at it on the teams they’re on. They’re going to lose when they’re by themselves because they can’t make everybody play like them.”

LaVar Ball has three sons — Lonzo, LiAngelo and LaMelo. Lonzo was the second pick in the 2017 NBA draft. He was selected by the LA Lakers but was traded to the New Orleans Pelicans in 2019 as part of the Anthony Davis deal.

Lonzo currently plays for the Chicago Bulls after a sign-and-trade deal last year. However, he’s recovering from offseason knee surgery and could miss the entire 2022-23 NBA season.

Meanwhile, LiAngelo went undrafted in 2018 and has never played in the league. He’s currently playing for the Greensboro Swarm, the G League affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets. He still has a chance to make it to the NBA if he gets called up by the Hornets.

LaMelo was the third overall pick in the 2020 NBA draft by the Hornets. He has already made an All-Star team last season and is one of the best young players in the league. He has only played seven games this season due to a few ankle injuries.

Nevertheless, LaVar Ball has not given up his dream of seeing his sons play together in one team. One thing is for sure, though: he does not want them to play for the LA Lakers.
