Steph ended the game with 38 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists. Curry shot 57.9% from the field and 50% from the long distance. The eight-time All-Star has been carrying the team the entire season and his absence will take a toll on Golden State.

This season, Steph Curry has been averaging 30.0 points, 6.6 rebounds and 6.8 assists while shooting 50% from the field and 43.4% from three. The two-time MVP has played 26 games for the Warriors, who haven’t been impressive during their entire campaign.

Steph Curry’s labral injury will make it difficult for the Warriors to win games this season.

Steph Curry’s labral injury could cause the Warriors to lose more games

After confirming Steph Curry’s labral injury, the Warriors are now in deeper trouble. Other than the Baby-Faced Assassin, there are no players averaging more than 20 points per game for Golden State. The closest the team has for a reliable secondary scorer is Andrew Wiggins, who’s averaging 19.1 points.

Their ranking in the Western Conference standings isn’t going to help their case as well. The Dubs are currently the tenth seed in the standings with 14-15, and that was with Curry actively carrying the team. Now that the two-time MVP is sidelined, it’ll be taxing for the rest of the squad to carry on with their season.

The young guys on their team haven’t bloomed into the stars that fans expected them to be, either. Especially James Wiseman, who’s struggled to make an impact for the team this season. He’s been in and out of the lineup, being repeatedly assigned and called up from the G-League.

Curry’s fellow stars, Green and Klay Thompson, have both struggled to be effective pieces this time around. Thompson started off slow with his early-season shooting slump. Luckily, he’s found his rhythm. But he hasn’t affected their game results in a positive manner due to his sluggish start.

Green, meanwhile, has remained his usual self on the offensive side, but he has slowed down defensively. There have been times this season when the four-time All-Star has been outmatched down the block. His age could be slowing him down, which has given teams an advantage against him on the defensive end.

With Steph Curry’s labral injury, there should be someone bold enough to step up and take over while their star is down. Now the question remains, who will it be?
